FARMERS MARKET! Shopping local. Yes please!

Shopping local and farm to table has always been my vibe, especially now in today's times, and there's nothing like a trip to the farmers market! The sights, the sounds and the smells...give it all to me please, yes and thank you. It is good for the soul.

I recently took a trip to Findlay Market, one of my most favorite farmers markets. Findlay Market is located in Cincinnati, Ohio (where I call home) in really cool, hip, historic part of town. The surrounding architecture is incredible, where you will find amazing mural art. Findlay is the oldest running farmers market in Cincinnati, dating back to 1855. It's been home to a movie, The Pride of Jesse Hallam, and referenced in a song, Oh, Cincinnati. AND get ready for this...Newsweek named it one of the top 10 public markets in the world! We are so lucky to have Findlay Market!

The great thing about Findlay is that it is open all year (except on Mon), which means you can shop what is in season all year long! They have over 50 merchants selling a variety of products ranging from meats, fish, produce, flowers, and on the weekends there is an outdoor market place where there are vendors and street performers. It's a great way to spend your day.

On my visit, I scored some fresh produce; onions, jalapenos, corn, cherry tomatoes, Brussels Sprouts and ground beef!

Going to the farmers market is such a fun experience! Are you a farmers market regular? What's your favorite market?! Would love to hear from you! Drop us a comment and share.

If you're interested in learning more about @findlaymarket, their vendors and upcoming events you can check them out www.findlaymarket.org. They are having a Fall Food Festival October 16 - 18, 10am - 4pm. Yay!

If you are looking for a farmers market in your area you can go to www.ams.usda.gov and type in your zip code and it will list all of the farmers markets near you.

Cheers to shopping local and farm to table. Life is short, live your dash and be inspired.

xoxo -diana
